I am an assistant professor at UNC Chapel Hill as of August 2013. Previously I was an assistant professor at Stony Brook University. I completed a Ph.D. at U.C. Berkeley.

I am interested in all aspects of computer vision and related problems in other fields. My thesis was on shape and object recognition in images using a new take on deformable templates. My work in computer vision focuses on recognition, and is described more completely in the research statement and CV below.
